Description

A stringless dwarf flat bean variety that doesn’t require staking & has good disease resistance. Produces heavy, good tasting crops with long, fleshy pods. Recommended for successive sowings from early to late season. Half-hardy annual. How to Plant Sow vegetable seeds 20mm (1in) deep in dark damp soil & avoid watering for a day or two afterwards. Ensure soil has been well prepared with organic compost & aged animal manure. Sow 7-10cm (3-4in) apart, allowing 50cm (20in) between rows. Ensure the danger of frost has passed & protect plants from the wind. Plant seeds in 3-5m (10-16ft) rows & remove weeds regularly. Water regularly. Additional fertilising is not required as legumes produce their own nitrogen.
